Core Credit Union dlr Community 5K – Want to take part in a fun active event for all the family? If so register now for the 11th year of this event –  with over a thousand participants walking, jogging or rolling the 5km scenic route around Kilbogget Park.

Taking place during the County's Festival of Inclusion, this annual event prides itself on being fully-inclusive, suitable for all ages, abilities and fitness levels. With a DJ on hand to add to the festive atmosphere, each participant receives an event t-shirt at sign-in and a medal for children on crossing the finish line. This year will have lots of fun activities for all the family from 1.00pm that will include a chance to try a range of sports and activities.

At just €5 for adults and free for children, this event will give everyone the opportunity to get out, have fun and be active. The Core Credit Union dlr Community 5K is organised by dlr Sports Partnership and a range of local agencies and clubs. Places are limited so book yours today!

The event is part of the ongoing fundraising campaign to build a future for Conor (Age 10) & Dean (age 9) - two young Lucan brothers who were diagnosed in recent years with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy - a rare, muscle wasting, degenerative condition that has no cure. Dublin City Council Dublin City Half Marathon

Dublin City Council has been announced as the title sponsor of the Dublin City Half Marathon, which will take place on Sunday, 3rd May 2026. The race date has moved from March to the May Bank Holiday weekend, a change designed to better balance the needs of runners, and the wider city community. The ‘Dublin City Council Dublin City Half Marathon’ is organised by Dublin Marathon Group and will start at 8:30 am in the heart of Dublin City on O’Connell Street. The course will take runners through the north of the city before finishing back in the city centre. Building on Dublin City C
