Abbey Presbyterian Church, Saturday 31st January
Join author Kim Curran in conversation with Donal Fallon for a special event celebrating the release of her new novel Brigid, as part of Brigit: Dublin City Celebrating Women.
Set at the crossroads of ancient belief and emerging Christian power, Brigid reimagines a young woman who bends faith to claim freedom, build sanctuary, and challenge kings and bishops alike. As her influence grows, so too does the cost of power. Curran and Fallon will explore myth and history, belief and rebellion, and the enduring resonance of Brigid as goddess, saint and symbol of female strength.
Kim Curran was born in Dublin and grew up in London. She holds a degree in Philosophy and Literature from Sussex University and is a freelance Creative Director and Royal Literary Fund Fellow. Brigid is her second novel for adults, following her highly-acclaimed debut, The Morrigan.
The event will be followed by a book signing.
