Brigit x District Gemma Dunleavy

Abbey Presbyterian Church, Friday 30th January

Brigit x District opens the festival weekend with a rare headline performance from Gemma Dunleavy.

Since the release of UP DE FLATS in 2020, Dunleavy has largely stepped away from releasing music, choosing instead to refine her sound behind the scenes. Her return for Brigit feels timely. Rooted in stories of working-class Dublin and shaped by her upbringing in Sheriff Street, her club-pop songs balance emotional clarity with sharp, understated production.

Set within the intimate surroundings of the Presbyterian Church, this show offers a focused live moment to mark Brigit: Dublin City Celebrating Women [30 Jan – 2 Feb 2026] — a programme that celebrates renewal, creativity and women’s voices at the start of spring.

Presented in partnership with District Magazine.

Brigit: Dublin City Celebrating Women is brought to you by Dublin City Council. Full programme details will be released in January. Visit Dublin.ie/brigit
