Grow College Green – FREE Family Fun Day

College Green, Sunday 21st September

College Green has long been one of the city’s most iconic civic spaces, flanked by Trinity College Dublin, Bank of Ireland College Green and other cultural landmarks. Through ‘Grow College Green’, the historic centre of our capital city will be transformed into a compelling, attractive destination for everyone, not only a place to shop, work, gather and celebrate, but also a space to pause, breathe and connect.

This free, family friendly event will showcase the vision for the space. The event will span from Trinity College Dublin to St George’s Street and will highlight the potential of the space upon completion of the project. The event is taking place during European Mobility Week’s Car Free Day, and during the event there will be no vehicular access to the space.

Event Highlights include:

  • Themed zones which will demonstrate the core project values: Breathe, Connect, Imagine, Evolve
  • A quiet zone with a sensory tent highlighting the benefits of a calm and inclusive city environment
  • Yoga masterclasses and community drum workshops demonstrating the versatility and exciting potential of the space
  • Sustainability workshops spotlighting the enhancement of the area through sustainable design and local material reuse
  • Arts and crafts area representing creativity and vibrancy within the project space
  • Live music and children’s entertainment exhibiting the transformation of College Green into a lively space for everyday uses and events
