The countdown to the 2024 Northern European Gymnastics Championships is well and truly on. This 12 nation men's & women's international event will be held in the Sport Ireland National Indoor Arena on Saturday 21st & Sunday 22nd September.

The two days of action will see some of Europe and indeed the world’s best gymnasts battling it out for individual and team honours in a world class podium Field of Play, the likes of which has never been seen in Ireland before.

Competing nations include Denmark, England, Faroe Islands, Finland, Iceland, Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, Norway, Scotland, Sweden, Wales and of course the home team Ireland.

Men’s & Women’s Team Finals & All-Around Finals will take place on Saturday 21st followed by Apparatus Finals on Sunday 22nd September. Saturday’s competition will also serve as qualifications to the Apparatus Finals on Sunday 22nd September.

Team Ireland will be competing in Men’s and Women’s Subdivision 2 on Saturday 21st September as the host nation.

Ireland will host France at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Saturday 8th March during the penultimate round of the 2025 Six Nations Championship. Ireland claimed a 38-17 bonus-point victory over France during the 2024 Championship. Ireland and France have contested a total of 103 rugby test matches since their first meeting in 1909. The Sandymount Night Run 10KM or 5KM returns on March 11th, 2025. This unique Night Run events take place at 7:20pm on Tuesday the 11th and presents a great excuse to get out and clear the head with a midweek run! Sandymount is an ideal location being walking distance from the center of Dublin. And the course is laid out in long straight flat lines making it ‘racer’ friendly. There are two distances to suit all levels of fitness. A 5KM single lap or a 10KM double lap. Entries are limited so don’t leave it too late to enter! This is an annual SELL OUT race.
