Simon Run @ Home – Virtual Run.

It's time to get up and get moving with Dublin Simon Community's new Run @ Home! This is a virtual run designed to push you to achieve the lofty goal of a marathon a month! During these uncertain times, it's never been more important to get out and get a little exercise. A short run each day can help stave off the cabin fever and keep you healthy. With the Simon Run @ Home you can set an achievable goal, track and share your progress and help a vital cause at a difficult time.

Launching on March 31st this campaign will be running (pun intended) through all of April and May and is open to everyone, no matter your fitness level. You set the pace! To register simply visit here and fill in your details. Everyone that registers will have an Every Day Hero page created for them, making it easy to generate sponsorship for your run. These pages will be used to raise the funds that will go on to support the vital services that so many are relying on each and every day. Your Every Day Hero page can also be linked to your Fitbit, Strava or MapMyFitness accounts. These will than automatically update you page with your progress and let all your friends and family know how you’re doing throughout the campaign.

You can run at home or get out into the fresh air and do a lap or two of your neighbourhood. Also feel free to do this with other members of your household (just be sure to keep your distance from and abide by the government's social distancing policies). The Run @ Home is part of our Simon Home Run 2020 campaign and as such, Simon are making their official Simon Home Run 2020 t-shirts available to everyone. These are €5 each (plus postage and packaging) and can be ordered when registering for the Simon Run @ Home.

Keep an eye on Simon's social media channels for more details and in the meantime, get your running gear out and ready for an energetic couple of months!

Croke Park

It comes 28 years after the Steelers played a pre-season exhibition game in Croke Park against the Chicago Bears, in front of roughly 30,000 fans.
