Now in its seventh year, New Year’s Festival Dublin (NYF Dublin) brings you a new and exciting programme of events to ring in 2019. Dublin City will light up with imagination and wonder with 3 spectacular events on 31 December 2018. Gather in the heart of Dublin with family and friends, as the iconic Custom House becomes the centre for NYF Dublin’s Countdown this year.
6.00pm – Liffey Lights Midnight Moment Matinée – Custom House Quay & Georges Quay.
8.00pm – New Year’s Eve Concert – Custom House Quay (Strictly over 18’s).
11.30pm – Liffey Lights Midnight Moment – Georges Quay.

Liffey Lights Midnight Moment Matinée
Families and friends of all ages can celebrate the New Year together at the highly anticipated Liffey Lights Midnight Moment Matinée. Watch in delight and amazement as laser lights and aqua beams dance through the sky as you count down to the New Year together. This is a FREE event but tickets will need to be booked in advance. Matinée at Custom House Quay and George's Quay – Countdown to Midnight Moment Performance: This is free ticketed event from 6.00pm – 7.00pm.
Prepare yourself for a New Year's Eve night to remember as platinum selling artist Gavin James has been announced as the headliner for the 3Countdown Concert at Custom House Quay with special guests Hudson Taylor, Wild Youth and Inhaler. Tickets (which include entry to the Liffey Lights Midnight Moment event) are priced €29.90 including booking fee and go on sale Monday 5 November from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide and www.ticketmaster.ie. This year's 3Countdown Concert will truly be one to remember!
This is a FREE event but tickets will need to be booked in advance. Celebrate the final moments of 2018 with a bang under a canopy of sparks as the Liffey Lights Midnight Moment signals the end of 2018 and the arrival of the New Year. This dazzling lighting spectacle will be performed against the backdrop of the Custom House and features a thrilling choreography of lasers and aqua beams. You'll be amazed as live DJs and percussionists perform on the water in perfect harmony with hundreds of lasers and lights as they illuminate the midnight sky over Dublin City. The free event will start at 11.30pm with excitement building to a crescendo as the clock strikes midnight. This performance is not to be missed.
