Handel’s oratorio Theodora tells a tale of power, and features some of the finest music that the famous Baroque composer has ever written.The story of forbidden love between Christian Queen Theodora and a Roman convert features Handel’s own personal favourite chorus and delves into themes of faith, prejudice, and cruelty.

Set in a dramatic concert staging, the young voices of Sestina will be heard alongside the immense Irish Baroque Orchestra in what will be their first ever collaboration.
In the stunning surrounds of Christ Church Cathedral you’ll hear arias that’ll move the soul, and choruses that will stir emotions, when Theodora comes to Dublin this April.
