The Tin Soldier

This event has ended

Gate Theatre, Friday 10th June - Saturday 2nd July

This creative co-production between the Gate Theatre and Theatre Lovett recasts Hans Christian Andersen’s quintessential tale as a mirror, to illuminate and reveal its author as a warrior for the imagination, a revolutionary outsider.

Inimitably narrated by Louis Lovett, and with original music by Conor Linehan, the production delicately moves between beauty and horror, comedy and despair, and features French dancer Kévin Coquelard and Ukrainian singer Olesya Zdorovetska.

The Tin Soldier lifts Andersen’s complex and moving story off the page and into an unforgettable theatrical experience like no other.
