The Last Days Of Cleopatra

The New Theatre, Monday 20th March - Saturday 1st April 2017

The Last Days of Cleopatra debuted in New York in late 2014, where it was critically acclaimed and received a NY Times Critics’ pick. It has since been produced in Canada and won two awards at the Milwaukee Play Festival in 2016. The New Theatre is proud to present the Dublin/European premiere.

Cleopatra is all about love, as in where do you find it? How do you keep it? What does it feel like? How do you know?

“Forgiveness, funny one that, someone kicks you in the head and you’re supposed to forgive them, cos that’ll make ye feel better, make it all go away, make everything Hunky-Dory! But what happens them? Get out a Jail Free card, move on, no bother, SmileyFace… You’re just Roadkill, What? But here, how d’ye forgive yourself… if ye can’t… forget?”

A pitch black comedy set in Dublin… Can a family that dance together, stay together?
