Ireland at Boston College's Leadership Fireside Chat Series: The Future of Atlantic Relationship After Pandemic.
H.E. Dan Mulhall, Ambassador of Ireland, will again join Boston College's Global Leadership Institute to reflect on the transatlantic relationship through the pandemic and into the future. During this discussion, the Ambassador will discuss the ways in which Ireland is shaping EU-US relationships during the crisis. The Ambassador will also discuss the dynamic and emerging Atlantic future.

H.E. Daniel Mulhall (Ambassador of Ireland to the United States @ Department of Foreign Affairs)
Daniel Mulhall was born and brought up in Waterford. During his diplomatic career, Ambassador Mulhall has held a number of positions at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, including as Director-General for European Affairs from 2005-2009. He also served as a member of the Secretariat of the Forum for Peace and Reconciliation from 1994-95, and after that he was the Department's Press Counsellor until 1998. In that capacity, he was part of the Irish Government's delegation at the time of the Good Friday agreement. He took up duty as Ireland's 18th Ambassador to the United States in August 2017. Ambassador Mulhall makes regular use of social media in order to provide insights into the work of the Embassy, to promote all things Irish and to engage with Irish people and those of Irish descent around the world.
Laoise Moore (Consul General of Ireland to New England @ Department of Foreign Affairs)
Laoise was appointed Consul General of Ireland to New England (Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont) in May 2019. Laoise is originally from Dublin. She completed a degree in Human Genetics at Trinity College Dublin and a Masters degree in World Archaeology from Pembroke College, University of Cambridge. She holds a PhD in Genetics from Trinity College Dublin. Laoise joined the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, where she has worked in Development Cooperation Division, the Communications unit and at the Oireachtas (Irish Parliament) on Foreign Affairs, British-Irish relations and Northern Ireland. She has also worked on the Western Europe desk and on EU enlargement issues. She has served abroad at Ireland's Consulate General in Edinburgh, and at the Embassy of Ireland in Malaysia.
Dr. Robert Mauro (Director @Global Leadership Institute, Boston College)
Robert joined Boston College from University College Dublin in 2011 as Director of the Irish Institute. In 2014 Robert founded the Global Leadership Institute to help Boston College expand its global reach.
