Special Olympics are calling on people from across Ireland to get “Freezin’ For A Reason” this December by taking part in Special Olympics Ireland’s Polar Plunge, run in partnership with the The Law Enforcement Torch Run and proudly supported by Gala Retail.
We are asking individuals, work colleagues and members of the local community to “take the plunge” to support Special Olympics Ireland’s athletes, as they prepare for next year’s Special Olympics World Summer Games in Berlin.
The Polar Plunge, Sandycove takes place at Sandycove Harbour– Saturday December 10th, Registration 12pm. Participants can also complete their own Polar Plunge virtually from their own locations.
The Polar Plunge is open to all, whether you are a swimmer, pandemic dipper or just fancy a challenge or a fun festive event.
Everyone who donates or fundraises a minimum of €25 will receive a Polar Plunge T-shirt on the day. For more information or to sign-up online visit https://www.specialolympics.ie/polar-plunge.
