Dublin Orchestral Players – 80th Anniversary Concert.
Following the announcement by An Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar TD, the National Concert Hall will close from 6pm March 12th through to Sunday March 29th inclusive. All events scheduled to take place during this time are now cancelled. Customers will be refunded in due course. Please check for updates on NCH social media channels and on nch.ie.
Two choral works will be performed by the Bray and Wicklow Choral Societies with soloists. The works include the Requiem in D by Mozart and Va Pensiero by Verdi. The orchestra will also perform Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No 1 in B flat minor with Peter Regan, a London-based Irish pianist from Co Longford. Peter is a graduate of Glenn Gould School of Music, Toronto, Canada and has performed worldwide from Carnegie Hall in New York to the National Concert Hall in Dublin. The orchestra will be conducted by their principal conductor Andrew Synnott who is a Dublin-based composer, conductor, arranger and pianist, whose organ and choral music has been performed and broadcast worldwide.
