Transport yourself back to Fairgreen in Dublin at Christmas time, and join us for our special Medieval Fair hosted by Montague Heritage Services, Living History experts, will be demonstrating a specific skill of medieval crafts you would have found at the fair, including..

A Monier & Silversmith, who along with his apprentice will detail how coinage was introduced into Ireland with hacksilver! Come visit his mobile forge and learn all about what with tools were used for stamping silver jewellery and for coin stamps.

Find out about food preparation and the diet of medieval people with our Pie and Bread Seller

Visit the Tailors stall and see medieval clothes and goods showing the techniques and styles worn in medieval times.

See leathers with our Furrier, these show the range of trade in various countries and the uses for these items, with a selection of bags, belts, pouches and medieval shoes will also be on display.

Finally visit the Wyse Woman who will tell you all about medicine in medieval times. Without access to a Physic or doctor most everyday people were reliant on the knowledge of a wyse woman who could prescribe herbal cures and treatment for everything from common colds through to childbirth, she will tell you all you need to know, she will also teach you a thing or two about sewing, lucetting and finger braiding!

Happening Wednesday the 28th of December to Friday the 30th of December from 11am to 4pm, all included in the Dublinia admission price with no booking required.
