Anything Goes – Dún Laoghaire Musical & Dramatic Society @ Pavilion Theatre.

Following Government advice regarding indoor mass gatherings of more than 100 people, issued today by Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, Pavilion Theatre will close to the public until Sun 29 Mar 2020.

Following the sell-out success of their 2019 production of Jekyll & Hyde, award-winning musical society DMDS return to Pavilion Theatre with this hilarious musical comedy set on the SS American ocean liner. Come along and meet Reno, a brassy evangelist turned nightclub singer, Billy our hero, Hope his love and her domineering mother Evangeline, as well as gangsters, molls, angels and sailors.

Based on an original book by PG Wodehouse, author of the Jeeves & Wooster stories, you can expect a plot that is dastardly, intricate, and results in an absolutely irresolvable tangle… though of course it is happily resolved by the Finale! And all set to the incomparable music of Cole Porter classics, such as I Get a Kick Out of You, You're The Top, Friendship, It's De-Lovely, Blow Gabriel Blow, and of course the title song Anything Goes.
